The surveilling cameras represent a system composed by a video camera and a monitoring device for vehicles, used for vehicles detection and identification, which exceed a speed limit or contravene other traffic rules.
These are formed in categories, such as:
Fixed cameras with radar, measure the vehicles’s speed. In these category were introduced the radars which can not be catalogued, they can be traffic numbers, can optimized green/red colors of the semaphore. 
Surveilling video camera of the traffic, fixed camera used to monitor the traffic or an important area, it doesn’t contain devices from speed limit.
GATSO – fixed cameras with radar and microwaves or a calibration lines on the road, digital (GTC-D) or with photographic film, with flash ( blitz) for the identification of the vehicle in bad illumination, measure the speed and visual detecting the license number of the vehicle.
 
Surveilled area with mobile radar – imply the map marking with at least 2 location for mobile radar at the entrance of a locality in which is a radar car or a tripod radar.
Mobile radar – mobile camera with radar, microwaves and laser, marked location with this type of camera are specific location (exact coordonates) in which are seen cars with radar.
RedLight – photo camera digital and fixed who takes pictures to the cars passing trough a crossroad when the light of semaphore is red. The sign has 2 units, camera and trigger, which can be a calibration lines on the road, a radar with microwaves or laser.
Built-In RedSpeed, combination between a photo camera (RedLight) and a detector ( calibration line on the road) what measure the speed. The detector can be used for measuring the speed of the car who pass over a crossroad. Can emit 2 contraventions in the same time.
Safety radar – the locations are marked with informative panels with microwave radars and display which shows the speed of the vehicle. A lot of panels are in dangerous places, where the drivers should slow down.

The navigation programs trough satellite can forewarn about the location of the cameras and radars, with exact coordonations. The devices don’t emit a radar wave and don’t detect a such an wave, but in Swiss, Austria and Germany, those are forbidden.
